The $800 An Hour NURSE!!!???

I think most people have never looked at their medical billing.  Or maybe they don't realize that they had a NURSE, not a doctor for their anesthesia.  At any rate according to *my* billing, my crna's each got around $800 an hour.  800  DOLLARS AN HOUR!  This is for the same little nurses who claim they don't have time to answer your questions or explain the medications they plan to use on you.  Can you BELIEVE it?  You are paying these people 800 dollars an hour and they can't/won't use a single minute of the expensive time that WE are paying for to follow the law?

These are the same $800 an hour NURSES who don't want to be bothered with their patients.  They want your brain destroyed with Versed at their earliest possible convenience so that they don't have to actually RELATE to the person who is paying them 800 bucks an hour.  For 800 dollars an hour I will kiss your patooty, trust me.  Not them!  Oh Hell to the NO!  I guess that they are doing us the FAVOR of charging us $800 an hour to be abused by the likes of them.

No anesthesia nurses, you are not doing us a favor when we have to pay such an OUTRAGEOUS FEE for a damn nurse!  You do us no favor by conking us in the head with Versed either.  You are doing YOURSELF a favor by using this drug.  Why should we as patients do you the favor of allowing you to reduce us to gibbering, quivering jellyfish when we are PAYING you to take care of us?  I could maybe see it if you poor little overworked darlings were doing this for free...  I don't feel I owe you people any favors, and my brain is too important to me to allow a patient control and possible amnesia drug to be used on me for any reason.  YOU COULDN'T PAY ME ENOUGH TO ALLOW THIS!  Let alone force me to pay YOU for it!

We are being forced to PAY an enormous amount of money to have our brain damaged by snotty little nurses who refuse to follow patient rights law.  These 800 dollar an hour nurses don't feel that they are paid enough to answer our questions.  These 800 dollar an hour nurses aren't paid enough to follow our instructions.  These 800 dollar an hour nurses feel that we are too stupid to understand anything, but they sure figure we are smart enough to earn that 800 dollars an hour that they are charging.  These 800 dollar an hour nurses can't find the TIME for us even when we are paying them that much money!  What good are they?   (I don't see any savings involved with having an anesthesia NURSE as opposed to getting an actual physician...)

So anyway, while we mere mortals are busy earning 800 dollars a WEEK, these nurses feel justified in raking that in for a ONE HOUR charge!  Not only that, but they feel that they are underpaid, and they seem to hate the patients who keep them in the lap of luxury!  Top it off with patient abuse and lawless behavior and you can see why I'm angry.  I'm sorry but there is no NURSE who is worth this kind of money.  Not even a crna. Of course this is just my opinion, but it is shared by many, many people who have been abused and ripped off by this particular medical profession.

Just for comparison, I get 941.20 a week before taxes on a 40 hour week as a truck driver.  Don't even try to tell me that *I* don't hold people's lives in my hands every single minute of every single day that I am piloting 100,000 pounds of steel rolling at freeway speeds!  I remain polite, I yield the right of way, I slow down to allow people to merge, even though I could squash them like a bug and the law is on my side...  Unlike our esteemed anesthesia nurses, I follow the law and then some.  I don't deliberately hit people just because they drive like maniacs.  I can't tell you how many lives I've saved by not allowing crazy motorists to get into a wreck with me.  People do stupid things in their cars all the time!   (I could write a book)  Don't these 800 dollar an hour nurses have the same work ethic as I do?   With their pathology, most (but not all) of these nurses would never make it as a truck driver.  They would kill people.  Yet they feel that they deserve 800 dollars an hour for their bad behavior in a medical setting.  Go figure.

PS I am a construction truck driver.  I only work during the months when the weather cooperates.  I have to try to save enough money to get through the winters when the snow flies.  Since our current administration has been in power, construction jobs have plummeted along with my earnings.  Good luck suing me for anything like these anesthesia nurses have threatened from time to time.  Rich 800 dollar an hour nurses say they want to sue me for daring to criticize them and their drug of choice Versed!  I'm entitled to my opinion just like they are entitled to their opinion of us as stupid, insufferably ignorant, low functioning patients.

A NURSE On Askapatient

I grabbed the following from here;VERSED: Side effects, ratings, and patient comments  I encourage everybody to go over to the site and look at why Versed is rated as a 2.7 out of 5!  Keep in mind that it is my opinion that medical workers routinely vandalize the site, placing '5' ratings so that their patients don't decline Versed.

"I am an RN, if that means anything with these comments.  This is the dumbest drug I've ever seen.  It's primary "help," in my opinion, from personal experience and hearing from friends, is to put you into such an apathetic child-like state that you can't speak for yourself honestly when you are in agony during a procedure!  Very convenient for the doctor and staff.  Maybe they are in denial about it's effectiveness?  The amnesia wears off for me and many others I've encountered, leaving you with a sense of being victimized and traumatized.  If the nurse is saying: "are you okay?" after hearing you moaning like hell, what's wrong with the picture, even if you are so dumbed down that you answer (because the doc has momentarily stopped the procedure) that you ARE okay.  Then, immediately the agony starts again.  Only later are you smart enough to care, when they are on to the next patient!!!!  Never again!!!"

If these people are willing to do this of one of their own, what do you think they will do to YOU?  Aside from that this is an interesting perspective.  I never thought about the "child-like" apathy!  I also like the part about responding in the affirmative to the health care workers questions.  Not that you will probably remember doing so...  There is an "anti-conflict" component to Versed which would lead you to answer in the way that the health care worker wants you to.  Adding this kind of drug to a patient whose desire is to be a 'good' patient and you get the recipe for abuse.

Bad Medicine

A Health Ranger investigation

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
NaturalNews.com

According to U.S. government statistics, you are 6200% more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a homicidal shooter. This is the topic of our new video that's just been released on YouTube and TV.NaturalNews.com.

This mini-documentary by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, is based on U.S. government statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, combined with doctor-caused deaths published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

These data show that FDA-approved prescription drugs kill 290 Americans every single day, meaning that for mass shootings to approach that number, you'd have to see a Colorado Batman movie massacre take place EVERY HOUR of every day, 365 days a year.

Or, you'd have to see a jumbo jet airliner with hundreds of passengers crash into the ground every single day in America. That's how dangerous doctors and FDA-approved prescription medications really are.

What Percentage Of Patients Are Harmed By Versed?

Have you ever thought about just how many people are harmed by the application of a brain poison called Versed?  Medical people occasionally admit that Versed is harmful, but usually with the caveat that we must have been brain damaged prior to Versed and the Versed only exacerbated the problem.  My first thought is that even IF it's only damaged people that are affected by Versed, then why are they using it on everybody?  Shouldn't there be some kind of restraint in using a drug which "exacerbates" mental problems?  I mean, they aren't going to give us all an EEG prior to surgery are they?  How much will that add to the cost?

How many people take Prozac et al?  What percentage of the population is on some kind of mood drug?  Every wonder?  So are these the people the medical workers are referring to?  I don't take any drugs, so how come *I* reacted so badly to Versed?  So if we believe the medical workers when they tell us that it's all of us INSANE people who don't like Versed, do they NOT give Versed to people who take any mood enhancement drugs?

What is the REAL percentage of people who hate Versed?  At the medical center where I went the "patient relations" nurse (actually part of the legal team) claimed that I was the only person in the entire world who had ever had a bad reaction to Versed.  But (big BUT) she also sounded like a robot while she parroted the old refrain of "you don't want to remember the pain" and "once you walked through those doors, we could do anything we wanted to you" along with "we were only trying to help you."  None of which is true.  So how many times did that morbidly obese nurse confront patients whose personalities had been destroyed by Versed?  It wasn't just me, and I keep on hearing the same excuses from different medical workers...  Like the lines in a play!  Same things over and over.

Medical workers will ADMIT to a 10% severe side effect rate among patients for Versed.  ONE IN TEN PATIENTS!!!!  Oddly, that number is extremely low as compared to the many, MANY web pages written by disgruntled patients who were attacked with Versed.  On the face of it, it appears that almost 50% or nearly half of patients intensely dislike this precious (to medical workers) amnesia drug.  I'll bet that if we had a person, an honest one without an axe to grind, whose sole purpose was to contact patients about their experience with Versed, that number would rise.

The questions would be something like this...  Did the amnesia work well for you?  Do you remember screaming or asking for the procedure to stop?  Are you experiencing any unusual depression?  Any excessive anxiety?  Are you experiencing any anger issues?  Are you having any problems sleeping subsequent to your sedation?  Are you having any problems with your short term memory function?  Questions along those lines which encourage patients to speak freely about their experience rather than leading questions like "You didn't have any problems with sedation now did you?"

If this person were really diligent, they could get into some of the "informed consent" problems which permeate the medical community.  They could ask if they knew they were going to have an amnesia drug instead of pain relief.  They could ask if the patient was aware that they could blurt out secrets during their amnesia time?  They could ask if they recognise any unusual behavior after Versed.  I read where many of these anesthesia providers use that Versed induced "hypnosis" to try to alter patient behaviors, such as smoking or drinking.  They could ask if the informed consent mentioned the amnesia, abject obedience or relayed any information on the possible deleterious mental side effects.  That way we could also get an idea about what percentage of patients were given a true and lawful informed consent.

It seems very strange that PATIENTS are claiming a different view of Versed than medical workers.  Medical workers are telling us that we patients LOVE Versed, that Versed has zero side effects etc.  Patients are saying that their experience was terrifying, horrible, unquestionably unpleasant, and, that they were not consented properly.  Patients are saying that their mental health has been compromised with Versed.  So how do we arrive at a true percentage of patients who have a bad reaction to Versed given that the medical field is in complete denial?  We need some empirical studies by unbiased third parties.
I truly would like to know the percentage of trusting patients who are being sent into Hell in order to make medical workers jobs easier.  There is no other reason to use Versed.  I've heard all the excuses, the lies and the self serving obfuscations, but what we need is transparency and TRUTH in medicine.

Perhaps I Was A Little Harsh!

I may have been a little harsh on poor Matt who took the time to respond to one of my former posts entitled "More On Horrible Side Effects" from January 2011.  I can't help but wonder why Matt would respond to the tone of that article with the EXACT SAME PLATITUDES I got from the treatment center where I went?  Do they teach these anesthesia nurses what to say?

It makes me want to SCREAM when I hear these words or minor variations of them.  "Why would you want to remember the pain?"  I say "Why is there pain?  Isn't it your JOB to ensure that I am as pain free as possible?"  Another question of mine is this "What is so horrible about feeling a little pain?  We all go through it, why do we have to be assaulted with an amnesia drug to (hopefully) prevent this?"  It's not like they only have whiskey and a bullet to bite for pain relief!  Morphine was invented a loooong time ago...  Why can't we just have the pain killer part and not the questionable amnesia part?"

Another thing that strikes me as odd, and I have heard it a thousand times (very slight exaggeration) is the part where they just don't have TIME to explain anything.  They told me that little gem of wisdom at the medical treatment center I went to as well.  It must be in the anesthesia nurse handbook.  Funny thing is, they had plenty of time to threaten me about the dangers of a nerve block, and to harass me over and over about my refusal of general anesthetic.  Finally they just pumped me full of Versed and forced me into compliance.  My doctor was over an hour late for surgery.  I have a feeling that the anesthesia nurse who was pretending to be a physician knew this, so he had all that time to explain things to me.  He just didn't WANT TO!

The time issue is a big one for both the anesthesia personnel and the patient.  We are being goaded and coerced into signing away all of our patient rights by these people.  We have the right to all the time we need in order to give an INFORMED consent.  Concealing the true nature of the drugs like Versed by claiming a time issue is against the law.  Isn't the law on this subject taught in anesthesia school?  Amazing isn't it how these people don't get that!  You would think that they NEVER read the informed consent laws.  You know the part where they MUST explain things...

I just timed myself with this statement;  "I want to give you a sedative (for want of a better term) called Versed which will hopefully cause amnesia.  It does not relieve pain.  A significant number of patients report long term memory problems and anxiety, insomnia, rage, depression etc which are or mimic symptoms of PTSD.  Do you want to be sedated with Versed?"  It took me 20 SECONDS!  Don't tell me that you people can't find 20 seconds to ask a patient if they want this kind of sedation drug!  So even if Matt wanted to tell his patients about the effects and side effects of each medication the patient would get after Versed, it can't take more than 5 minutes.  IT'S THE DAMN LAW THAT THEY DO THIS!  Why are they getting away with this thought process?  It's ILLEGAL to treat patients without stating the effects, side effects and alternatives to the procedure and the drugs.  You people are NOT above the law, no matter how much you think of yourselves.

As for amnesia being a main component of anesthesia, since when?  Either you are out or you have a nerve block or something to RELIEVE PAIN!  Amnesia doesn't do that.  Why are these anesthesia people obfuscating this issue?  They want you to OBEY them and they want to be able to torture you without a single thought about your suffering, that's why.    They don't give a damn about you or your pain.  Matt absolutely agrees with this.  His only thought is why you would want to REMEMBER what they did?  Well, why wouldn't I?  Is he ashamed to be allowing pain to be inflicted upon his patients, so much so that his only concern is that you don't REMEMBER what they did?

In closing, thanks Matt for telling me the same old tired excuses I have come to expect.  I do appreciate that you took the time to write a response to my piece.  (seriously)  I just don't understand why, after hundreds of my posts, and hundreds of patient grievances about Versed and informed consent, you would come here and make the same ridiculous statements that I have already heard?  Why would you come here and explain that you not only routinely break the law, but that we should love having our brains tampered with by a drug which causes so many people long term problems?  Why would you admit that you DON'T EVEN BOTHER to alleviate pain?  Instead you want to give an amnesia drug?  Why?

Don't I Speak Plain English?

Yet another person commented on one of my posts , who doesn't seem to understand what I am saying.  English is my first language, so I am absolutely MYSTIFIED as to why I am misunderstood...  Here's  the quote;

Matt has left a new comment on your post "More on Horrible Side Effects":

"Amnesia is one of the main components of an anesthetic. The point is that you dont (sic) remember. It would take a day to explain all the side effects of each of the medications you get for a general anesthetic so its not practical. Most of the other anesthetics cause antergrade (sic) amnesia as well. Why would someone want to be awake and remeber (sic) a very painful experience?"

No Matt, AMNESIA is NOT one of the main components of anesthesia!  The main component of anesthesia is ABSENCE OF PAINThe point is that WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO US!  We don't want amnesia instead of pain relief!  Are you always this obtuse?  I didn't WANT general anesthetic!  Do you grasp that concept?  Frankly I don't give a damn if it takes all DAY to explain every single little thing to my satisfaction.  The law is very clear on this issue...  YOU MUST DO THIS!

Matt, it isn't UP to you to decide that I don't want to be awake (MINUS AMNESIA) regardless of what *I* say.  If you were capable of doing your job, then we wouldn't have a painful experience to remember.  "Why would someone want to be awake and remember a very painful experience?" This pain would be due entirely to your failing in your PRIMARY duty of relieving pain!  Why?  Just because it is my RIGHT not to be subjected to mind control drugs at the whim of a substandard anesthesia provider who wants to use brain disabling drugs to hide the fact that they are pathetic incompetent morons.  I DO NOT HAVE TO JUSTIFY WHY I WANT TO BE AWAKE!  *I* choose to be awake.  That's all you need to know.

As for trying to obfuscate the issue with the "general anesthetic" part, you know full that I am talking about real amnesia with Versed the true amnesia drug, as in walking, talking, screaming, begging for you to stop torturing us, and babbling on and on about all our secrets for your amusement.  With general anesthetic we are completely under, so of course the patient won't remember anything.  That's NOT AMNESIA you moron!  Any more than sleeping is amnesia.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother.  Jeez you anesthesia people are freaking STUPID!
